We are a committee represented by the 5 supervisorial districts of Sutter County. Since our last general election (2020) we have been working to engage with the community to educate and support conservative values and candidates in our county.
We hold two main events every year. In the spring we put on our annual Lincoln Dinner fundraiser so we can help support candidates. In the fall we put on a gathering that allows the Republican state or local candidates to share their platforms with the community. We try to make ourselves available to assist candidates with canvassing neighborhoods and/or mail slaters, phone calling, text messaging during their campaigns, or hosting a meet and greet.
Throughout the year we involve ourselves in local events like the Yuba City summer and winter strolls, the Yuba Sutter fair, and the Peach Festival. At these events we have a booth where we engage with the public, helping them to understand the importance of voting, becoming knowledgeable regarding our nation/state’s issues, and how they can become involved.
This year we are attempting to engage more with the smaller towns of Sutter County so they feel a part of what is happening politically in this county. We believe informed people who know what is truly happening to our nation will result in an increased voter population that can bring about change.
At our monthly meetings, the committee reviews our upcoming plans and votes accordingly. We usually have a local speaker who shares what is happening in the community as well as updates from our US congressman state assemblyman and state senator. It is also a time to share new ideas and recruit more volunteers.
In California, you can register to vote right up to Election Day.
